The SWDAA is dedicated to maintaining and improving the health and well being of the SWD breed. 

As more and more is learned about this wonderful breed, we hope to be able to provide you with as much information as is available concerning known health risks and available tests. 

The following health issues have been found in the Spanish Water Dog; Hip Dysplasia, prcd/PRA, Hypothyroid, Addisons Disease, EPI, Glaucoma, Elbow Dysplasia, allergies, Epilepsy.

Only through health testing and careful breeding can the health of the Spanish Water Dog be improved in the future.
